Northlight Studio is available for hourly, half-day, and full-day rentals with a two hour minimum.

Photo shoots

Our studio can accommodate crews up to 15 comfortably. With north facing windows, the space gets consistent, indirect light throughout the day. During sunset, the room gets a warm glow that turns to a moody blue.

Small gatherings like workshops, baby showers, pop-up shops, etc. are welcome here! We have two folding tables that look stellar under linens as well as cafe lights for an additional set-up fee of $100. We have an assortment of chairs and stools but you’ll need to rent your own if you’re looking for uniformity or a large quantity.

Custom events

Have an idea for the space? Run it by us! We’re happy to host a yoga class, private concert, book signing, live podcast or really anything you can think of! We can help with the logistics and give you a tour of the space if you need.

North facing windows for clean, consistent light – all day long

Most creatives use the east wall (right side of above image) as a backdrop and the west wall (left side) for hair & makeup. The back area underneath the lofted office is used for styling prep, wardrobe, and craft services.

Lynnsey Phillips

Lynnsey is wedding and portrait photographer at Lionlady Photography. After studying film, she fell in love with telling stories through imagery. She moved to Seattle in 2013 and that's when her love of photo really took off. Outside the photo world, she’s freshly married and has a big dog named Archie. She’s an *almost* fluent French speaker and is obsessed with language which came from extensively traveling Europe over the past five years.

Seattle Daylight Studio Karen Kirsch

Karen Kirsch

Karen is a Seattle-based photographer, writer, creative consultant, and GIF connoisseur. She’s been photographing people and brands on-the-rise since 2013. Go check out her work over at Kirsch Creative. When not at the studio Karen loves cooking, traveling with her hubs Ethan, and exploring the PNW where’s she’s lived all her life. She also had really good taste in hats as you can see from the photo on the left.

Hilary McMullen

Hilary is a Seattle-based food and still life photographer and brings an editorial aesthetic to the studio. She travels extensively for work with brands like Cracker Barrel, Bon Appétit, Frito Lay and more. Not to mention our local favorites: Molly Moons, Nordstrom, and Homegrown. Hilary’s style is often described as elegant, ethereal, and fresh. See more of her work here: Hilary McMullen

Seattle Daylight Studio Mary Kahlor

Mary Kalhor

Mary is a Seattle-based wedding and portrait photographer but she’s happiest on the road exploring new places. Her focus is photographing moments how they felt, rather than how they looked. When she’s not shooting, she can be found obsessing over her cat (Roux), finding all the sweets, and scoring the best vintage finds making all the other studio ladies jealous. Definitely check out more of her work here: Mary Kalhor
